Air
Shimla is well connected with with Kullu, Chandigarh and Delhi.
Rail
Shimla is connected by a narrow guage railway line with Kalka (90 km) which in turn is connected with the major cities in India.
Road
Regular bus services connect Shimla with Chandigarh 117 km, Kullu 220 km, Manali 260 km, Delhi 343 km, Mandi 150 km, Pathankot 380 km, Ambala 151 km, Chail 43 km, Dehradun 240 km etc.

Narkanda
At a height of about8,850 feet and 64km from Shimla on the Hindustan – Tibet road, is famous for its orchards and its beautiful scenery, especially during summer. It is convenient starting point for visits to many places in the heart of Himachal Pradesh: Bagi, Khandrala, Rampur and Kalpaon the Hindustan-Tibet road.
Rampur Bushahr
Is on the bank of the Sutlej, 140 km from Shimla. It provides a night halt for the visitors and trekkers to Kinnaur. It is one of the biggest commercial towns of Himachal Pradesh and is famous for its three-day market fair.
Jakhoo Hill
With a fine view of Shimla, and a temple dedicated to the monkey god Hanuman, whose form is much in evidence. The Glen 4 km, - a popular picnic spot.
Summer Hill
Is a quite suburb of Shimla from the ridge and on the Kalka – Shimla line. Its peaceful environs and secluded walks were endorsed by a personage no less than Gandhiji, who once made this his retreat.
Chadwick Falls
Once the site of a 67 meter aquatic spectacle. Today, a silent gorge stands witness to the picnickers who flock to this spot. Wildflower Hall 13 km. It was planned to rival the viceroy's in grandeur, and many feel that it succeeded. Though the original mansion is today altered and extended, it is easy to imagine the original, with its surrounding pine forests, the clearing in the woods and spectacular view of the Himalayas.
Sanket Mochen
It is a scenic picnic spot with its Hanuman (Monkey) temple and a lovely view of Shimla.
Fagu
At height of 2,610 meters, provides a visitor with an excellent view of the surrounding valleys, its healing magic environs and solitary splendor promise an unforgettable experience and relaxation
