LADAKH - a high attitude monotonous desert in the rain shade of the Himalayas is an excellent Trekking and Mountaineering region with famous peaks including Nun and Kun massif and Zanskar group.

Many valleys were kept unknown to the western world till recent past, which have made Ladakh unique in the world. Ladakh, Spiti and Lah aul became part of India in 1833; these regions had close ties with Lhasa. The architecture and way of life still resemble those of central Tibet thus is often referred to as Little Tibet
