Just 51 km east of Darjeeling,
situated at an altitude of 1250 metres between the Deolo and
Durbindra Hills is the picturesque town of Kalimpong, the
former headquarters of the Bhutanese Governor. Driving among
forests and tea gardens, the road decent to about 200 m. above
sea level and crosses the one Lane Bridge over the Tista
River. Kalimpong is an ideal place for a quiet holiday amidst
gently rolling hills and deep valleys at the foot of the
